The version that made it to live has a system in which once you kill a rift guardian you have the chance to upgrade your gem 3 times. This was either a previous iteration of the ptr or a philosophy stated but never implemented. infact theres probably no point doing higher Grifts for gem levels until roughly gem level maybe 30+? Well completing Grift 32/33/34 gives exactly the same a Grift 7 if your gem is lvl 0. I thought blizz would reward us by letting us skip multiple levels on gems if we 'did well' IMO this is a very lame way of grinding gem levels. get another Trial Keystone, fail after 1 wave, get to Urshi and check the upgrade % if its not high enough, upgrade your keystone and do the next level, check again. So now you have a Rank 3 Gem, now do it again. I dont have the exact figures but anyone with a lvl 1 gem, doing a lvl 7+ Grift should be a 3/3 100% try. If you were quite lucky you may get the one(s) you wanted straight away and it means you can now start to lvl them.īeat the Grift of the floor you are now on, you can power through this as your cycle of Grifts is ending on this one. Smash through the rift but dont dont it at extreme speed ( you dont want to skip too many levels ) just walk through it depending on your class.īeat timer/RG and you should be awarded a gem (or more) and upgrade your rift key to the next lvl, again hopefully it wont skip too far and repeat this step, just cruise through it until you have the gems you want. You will probably get between level 6-9 Rift Key which is the equiv of normal or hard or something. probably will skip you to 7 or something immedately, then fail it by the timer If you are looking to firstly gain your gems ASAP and then begin to lvl them as fast as you can then I found this is the easiest way at first:Ĭomplete 1 Wave. I tested this on PTR only a few days ago and this should still work unless the fundamentals changed.
